FINCHPAW
Gender: male.
Age: eleven moons
Rank: apprentice.
Appearance: finchpaw doesn't hold much charm that the females can fancy, besides his overall casual stalk and his casual voice - everything about this young cat is 'casual'. when it comes to social life, that could be considered a good thing - however, when it comes to war, this sort of stance and outlook on other things is the first weakness enemies peek for before they race forth, come to attack. in this way, finchpaw has both a weakness and strength in this sort of 'slouch'.
his build was never meant for a full warrior, even though that was what he, along with all other toms, were destined to become. from birth, his build hadn't been necessarily delicate, but nothing big-boned, clumsy, and with meat on their bones to support. his bone structure is a happy medium, with little muscle under his silky pelt. perhaps it is for the better - his personality wouldn't match well with muscles weighing down his body. his head is slightly wedge-shaped, with two triangular ears that flop downward at the tips, if only slightly.
his fur coloration is that of a female finch, and perhaps this fits, as he looks much like a female at first glance himself. as a female finch, his fur is made up of shades of brown. light backdrop, deeper stripes, swirled onto his pelt in a mackerel fashion. four oval-shape paws seem to be stained white, and they fade into white. save for that and a patch on his chest, the body is completely tabby. his tail is a feathery and of average length, nothing unusual.
his eyes aren't the most attractive part of them - they aren't 'striking' or 'piercing' or even 'beautiful' - they are normal. they are a soft, faded yellow-green sort of color. emotion can be conveyed within their depths, but not much, and often he prefers to convey emotion with a flick of his tail or a twitch of his whiskers.
Personality: finchpaw is shy. there is no other way of saying it. whenever he speaks, he slumps his shoulders, looking pitiful and absolutely miserable in the company of those who he doesn't know one bit. around these sort of cats, he stutters. talk to him calmly - but not sympathetically or down-talking - and you may actually succeed in getting him to talk to you freely, although he doesn't really talk to the type with a bold disposition. he just likes those who wish to be free, like him.
unlike other toms, he sees no need in violence to resolve the warrior-queen conflict. he would rather just watch the others, try to solve conflicts before they really rise to the level which needs to be saved with. he would rather make friends with all the she-cats, speaking to them as his equals rather than watch them be slaughtered and give birth, die, give birth, in an endless circle. however, since the toms are obviously the ones who know better, he just steps back, takes a breath, and lets the others do the work.
even though shy humans usually warm up to cats and become that free and happy little bird, he isn't necessarily the type to 'warm up' quickly. he may try a joke or few, but most of his conversation are more to the benefit of his clan than to the benefit of himself, amusement-esque. he is a very loyalist sort of cat, and even though he can't say he would follow any orders from his leader, he would follow his heart, and most of the time, his leaders intentions should be his own. right?
saying that, finchpaw isn't a very strict believer in all laws and rules. he thinks everyone should get a second chance, even those convicted of murder.
History: later? -is a lazy bum-
