TANSYMiST
snow glittered down from the sky as the gray tabby sat in awe. she looked up to the cloudy expanse of white, eyes blinking methodically as she let the soft, cold, droplets of ice land on her face. a flake landed on her ear, and she shook it off quickly, a bit frightened as the cold water touched the pink part of her ear.
tansymist twitched her tail softly. back and forth, back and forth, just observing. some cats were out and about, mostly warriors wanting to get a head start on the day as the invisible sun started to come through the clouds. part of the white moved, and a ray of sunlight hit her face and blinded it for a second. for a moment she realized what it would be like to be without her sight, to be without the one thing that she could rely on to get her out of any situation. without sight, she would be nothing. she couldn't imagine being there in AshClan without it.
Behind her in the nursery, tansymist could hear the quiet mewing of tiny kits. newborns, by the sound of it. she had not had a litter yet, although she was getting up there in age. none of the toms had taken a particular liking to her. she had always been loyal, and she believed herself to be quite pretty, but none of the other males have made a move. she sighed lightly, and got up from her sitting position. it was getting cold in the shade by the nursery, and she couldn't take the constant mewing anymore. that was what nannies were for, to take care of those precious kits until they were old enough to start their apprenticeship.
tansymist looked over to the leader and deputy den. they were supposedly still sleeping, but she couldn't see in all the way. blinking again, she stood up, stretching quickly, and walked over toward the warrior den. she sat outside the den, strategically, waiting for one of the warriors to come out that she could make conversation with. tansymist was the most loyal and respectful young queen, and she didn't care for any of those other femmes that had run away from the Clan, and killing the huntresses that had gone after them. they were not part of the Clan any more. not part of her life at all. they were just memories. they were like the snow, as it flitted down to the ground on a leaf-bare day that wasn't quite cold enough. it just melted into the ground...gone forever.
tansymist looked down at the ground as one of the the snowflakes melted. "gone forever." she whispered, as she ran her paw over the patch where the droplet had disappeared.
